According to data from the General Administration of Customs compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, as of March this year, the total import and export of automobile commodities increased slightly year-on-year. In March 2024, the total import and export of automobile goods was 23.87 billion billion US dollars, up 19.4 percent month on month and 2.5 percent year on year. Imports amounted to US $5.28 billion, up 9.1 per cent from the previous month and down 14.2 per cent from the previous year, while exports amounted to US $18.59 billion, up 22.7 per cent from the previous month and up 8.5 per cent from the previous year.
